Farmer's body found in Staffordshire field
THE death of a farmer whose body was found in a Midland field near agricultural machinery was being investigated today by police and the Health & Safety Executive.
Officers said initial investigations into the man’s death, at a farm near Abbots Bromley, Staffordshire, suggested that it was a tragic accident.
The victim, who was from Ashbourne, Derbyshire, was found at about 7pm yesterday.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “No suspicious circumstances have come to light at this time.”
