Winner announced in Bullring photography competition

BULLRING Birmingham is marking its milestone fifth birthday with a search to find the city’s best photographer.

Throughout September, budding snappers have been asked to put their skills to the test and take creative, impressive shots of the iconic shopping centre.

The Bullring’s original architecture has become famous worldwide over the past five years, whilst the Selfridges building has emerged as the third most photographed building in the UK, providing numerous possibilities to capture some amazing images.

After an incredible month packed with celebrations events, the photographic competition winner has now been decided with the help of the Birmingham Mail’s picture editor Steve Murphy.

Des Gardner, of Warstock, Birmingham, impressed with his original take on storefront mannequins in the image entitled The Spectators.

The photo included the iconic bronze bull while retaining an individual twist. Des will now receive a high quality Olympus digital camera, courtesy of Currys Digital.
