Samaritan is hit by van near Birmingham
A GOOD samaritan was seriously injured after he was hit by a van while trying to round up a stray cow.
The 74-year-old man from Northfield was trying to help catch the cow which had escaped from a farm and was loose on the A441 near Hopwood at about 7.20am on Wednesday when the accident happened.
Poice say the driver of the white Mercedes Sprinter van, a 58-year-old man from Alvechurch, was uninjured in the incident.
