Six injured in two-car collision in Wolverhampton

SIX people have been injured following a crash in the Midlands.

Five suffered neck and back injuries and the sixth sustained a rib injury following the two-car smash on Willenhall Road, Wolverhampton, shortly before 9.25pm yesterday.

Five ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and an incident support officer were sent to the scene within minutes of a 999 call. A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews treated the patients on scene and transferred them to hospital for further assessment and treatment as a precaution.”

Three of the injured were transferred Walsall Manor Hospital, two were taken to New Cross Hospital and one was taken to Sandwell District General.
