A PUBLIC inquiry is to be held into plans to convert a former petrol station into homes.
The hearing, expected to start on November 25, has been called after developer Jon Bowen appealed against Lichfield District Council’s decision to refuse him permission to build 14 homes on a former service station site in Lichfield Road, Handsacre, Rugeley.
The controversial plan was for one, one bedroom apartment, eight, two bedroom homes and five, three bedroom houses as well as associated car parking.
