Fire crews battle blaze at derelict pub in Cannock

FIREFIGHTERS battled through the night to control a huge inferno at a derelict Midlands pub.

Crews remained at the Golden Age pub in Moss Street, Chadsmoor, Cannock, yesterday, to investigate the blaze.

Engines from Cannock, Chase Terrace, Burton on Trent and Stafford as well as relief crews from Codsall, Eccleshall, Rugeley, Lichfield and Penkridge were called out. Police were drafted as heavy smoke caused congestion in the area.
