BIRMINGHAM’S first performing arts school is throwing its doors open for the next two Sundays to give the parents of prospective pupils with the ‘X’ factor a chance to look round.
Dubbed ‘The Flame Academy’, the Birmingham Independent School of Performing Arts will be based at The Old Fire Station, 287 Moseley Road, Birmingham.
Non-denominational and co-educational, students aged 11 to 16 will only be able to join after successful auditions. For students joining BISPA in years 7, 8 or 9 in September, 2009 the annual fees will be £6,995 (payable termly in advance), but it’s hoped bursaries will be available for under-privileged children with real talent.
