Forklift truck worker killed
A MAN was killed in an accident involving a forklift truck at an ironworks in the Black Country yesterday.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Sigmacast Iron Ltd., Upper Church Lane, Tipton, just after 5.15pm.
A spokesman for the service said: “Crews arrived to find a man who had suffered serious injuries.
“Despite the best efforts of crews, nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
