Crash blocks major road

THE occupants of a van and a car escaped injury after they were in collision on a Birmingham road.

Firefighters from Hay Mills fire station were called to the scene of the incident on Coventry Road at its junction with Barrows Lane in Yardley at 7.10pm yesterday.
