A MAN was cut free from his car after crashing into the wall of a tunnel in Birmingham.

Police, paramedics and two fire crews from Aston were called to Great Charles Street Queensway to help free the motorist shortly after 11pm on Saturday.

He did not require hospital treatment.

No one else was injured in the incident which saw the road closed while debris was removed.
