Porn arrest fire chief Frank Sheehan's laptop stolen

THE personal laptop of West Midlands Fire chief Frank Sheehan was stolen just days before his arrest on suspicion of making child pornography.

The claims have added intrigue to the case following the resignation of 55-year-old Mr Sheehan from his £140,000 a year post, who quit citing ‘personal reasons’.

His arrest and sudden departure were first revealed late yesterday on birminghammail.net.

Mr Sheehan was arrested by police on Tuesday on suspicion of making indecent images of children. He was picked up at his Sutton Coldfield home where he lives with his wife, Linda, and his daughter.

The brigade boss, one of the most senior in the UK, has since been bailed pending further enquiries. He was due to retire next September.

The Mail has been told that a computer was reported stolen by Mr Sheehan days before his arrest.

A Birmingham firefighter, who did not wish to be named, said: “I know
