Peter Andre switches on Merry Hill Christmas lights
THE Christmas season arrived in the Black Country, courtesy of the ever popular Peter Andre.
Nineties pop sensation Peter, now best known for being glamour girl Katie Price’s other half, switched on the Christmas lights at the Brierley Hill’s Merry Hill centre last night.
Thousands of fans got a taste of Peter’s back catalogue as he put on a performance of his hits, including Mysterious Girl, before flicking the lights switch and then signing autographs.
The fun started at 4pm with Heart FM hosting an exciting show with games, music and fun-filled giveaways.
Merry Hill spokesman Kelly Reed said: “Since his legendary appearance on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Peter Andre has enjoyed a huge resurgence in popularity.
“We’re thrilled to bits that he agreed to travel to Merry Hill to help us kick off the festive season in style.”
