“It has been completely free for them as the school provided the transport and it has been a good opportunity for them to see Thinktank.”
Pupil Jade Gough, aged ten, enjoyed taking on the role of surgeon.
“We had to press the buttons to do a knee operation, it was good fun,” she says. “I also really liked the wild animals bit because you got to see how big a tiger’s paw is.”
Eight-year-old Adan Omar also liked the animals section.
“I think this is a very good place for children because there are lots of interesting things to do and it is fun,” he said.
Thinktank press officer Caroline Durbin, who arranged the event, said: “We are always happy to support initiatives such as the Mail’s Speak Out Stop Bullying campaign and hope the children have enjoyed their day at Thinktank.”
The Birmingham Mail and ChildLine’s award-winning Speak Out Stop Bullying campaign aims to highlight schools who are working hard to combat bullying and raise awareness of support available.
