Woman loan collector attacked in Woodgate Valley

A FEMALE loan collector was punched in the face by a thug as she struggled to stop him stealing her cash collections.
The 29-year-old was attacked from behind as she was walking along Ox Leasow, in Woodgate Valley. It happened while on her rounds at 7.50pm on Monday.
Det Insp Richard Mayhew, from Bournville Lane CID, said one man tried to snatch her bag containing the collections. But the victim refused to let go and the pair struggled.
The thug then punched the woman in the face, knocking her to the ground before running off with the bag containing a quantity of cash.
The offender was 6ft 2ins and wearing a dark jumper and jeans. He had his hood pulled up and a scarf covering his face.
His accomplice was wearing a dark jumper with the hood covering his face.
Det Insp Mayhew appealed for witnesses or anyone driving past at the time and saw the men hanging around or running off to come forward.
