Wolverhampton man dies after incident at Bilston pub death

POLICE investigating the death of a man have made a fresh appeal for witnesses.

Hughie Ginty, aged 48, from Wolverhampton, died on Tuesday, following an incident at the Spread Eagle Pub, in Bilston, on Saturday.

A post mortem showed he died from head injuries.

Police yesterday arrested a 35-year-old man from Wolverhampton in connection with the death.

Det Chief Insp Derek Quinn said: “We are investigating the death and are appealing for anyone who was in the Spread Eagle Pub on Saturday between 11pm and 11.30pm to contact Wednesfield CID on 0845 113 5000.”
