Review: The Zutons at Birmingham Carling Academy
THE gushing compliments of the audience on their way out of The Zutons’ gig on Saturday were predictable.
Comments such as “amazing” and “best gig I’ve ever seen” were heard and a fair representation of the Scouse five-piece’s night.
There were all the usual favourites and more from the band’s three albums, including Zuton Fever, Valerie, Hello Conscience and What’s Your Problem. All of which were played with the band’s usual stomping gusto.
But the sizeable audience was very much up for the gig from the start.
Finishing the night with You Will You Won’t, The Zutons rounded off a fine performance that deserved to have fans.
