Man airlifted after crash on M5

A MAN had to be airlifted to hospital with head injuries after a four-vehicle crash on the M5 yesterday.

A car, van and two lorries were involved in the crash on the southbound carriageway between junctions 4a to 5.

Paramedics and the County Air Ambulance from Strensham were sent to the scene shortly after 2pm.

No one else was injured in the incident which caused major delays for traffic.
