Selly Park care home fire alert

ELDERLY residents at a south Birmingham nursing home were led to safety after a faulty tumble drier caused a false alarm.

Fire crews were called to Bournbrook Manor Rest Home in Selly Park at 12.45pm, following calls of “a burning smell” from the laundry room.
