Visitors enjoy historic Selly Manor by candlelight

FESTIVE visitors to two historic Birmingham buildings took the chance to see them in a completely different light.
The Bournville Village Trust, which runs Selly Manor in Maple Road, Bournville, switched off the lights and lit up candles inside its two Tudor manor houses.
The candles and Christmas decorations gave the timber-framed buildings a festive atmosphere as visitors stepped back in time to see period furniture and domestic objects as they would have been seen by their original owners.
There was also an authentic Tudor banquet on display inside Minworth Greaves, a 700-year-old hall.
