Man dies after attack in Bordesley Green
A MAN has died after being attacked in a street in Birmingham.
A passer-by raised the alarm after finding the fatally wounded victim collapsed on the pavement outside a house in Bordesley Green road, Bordesley Green shortly before 1am today.
The 40-year-old man, whom lives locally, had suffered head injuries.
He was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police have traced his next of kin, although his details are not being released at this stage.
Today a murder inquiry was under way.
A post-mortem examination will take place later.
Two men, aged 20 and 22, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and were today being held at Stechford police station where they were due to be questioned later.
A stretch of the busy Bordesley Green road, near Drummond Road, remained cordoned off by police to allow for forensics experts to comb the scene for clues causing delays for motorists.
