M5 body identified as missing teen Jade Tyler
A BODY found close to the M5 in Worcestershire was last night identified as teenager Jade Tyler.
The 16-year-old’s body was found on land near to Pershore Lane 200 yards from junction six of the M5 near Worcester shortly before 12.40pm on Thursday.
Jade had gone missing from the family home in Carnforth Drive, Worcester, and was last seen in the A&E department at Worcestershire Royal Hospital on December 27.
Her family, who had been concerned about her behaviour prior to her disappearance, are said to be devastated and have yet to release a statement.
A West Mercia Police spokesman said: “The body has been formally identified as Jade Tyler.
“At this stage the death is not being treated as suspicious.”
A post-mortem has proved inconclusive but detectives are set to continue investigations once further tests have been done.
