Armed robbery at Great Barr newsagents

TWO men stole cash in an armed robbery at a newsagents in Great Barr last night.

The pair entered Appleton News in Appleton Avenue just after 7pm and demanded cash. One of the men was armed with a handgun. They escaped with a quantity of cash, in the direction of Hamstead Road. No-one was injured. The offenders were black, aged between 19 and 22 and both of medium build and around 5ft 6ins tall.
