Witness appeal after fatal crash on M5

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a fatal motorway collision in the Midlands.

A 45-year-old woman died when the light goods vehicle in which she was a passenger collided with a lorry close to Strensham Services on the M5.

The LGV driver, a 45-year-old man from Leicestershire, is stable in hospital while the lorry driver was not seriously hurt in the crash, at 5.20am on January 22.

A 47-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, has been released on bail. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Central Motorway Police Group on 0121 626 1285.
