Hundreds mourn Fairfield post office raid victim
In her address, Ms Mapley said Mr Hodson-Walker had lived life "to the full".
She said: "Like most men if his age Craig never talked much about God. He was too busy living life to the full - working hard, spending time with his friends and family and planning with Lisa their future together.
"He enjoyed his life and had many interests - sport and music amongst others - but he was family orientated first and foremost and our hearts go out to his parents, brother and Lisa as well as his wider family.
"The world is poorer for his passing from this life as the lives of those who knew him have been enriched by his living."
Ms Mapley also referred to the huge impact Mr Hodson-Walker's death has had on the community.
"It's at moments like these that we feel most in need of reassurance," she said. "There are few things in our lives that leave us feeling more helpless and full of questions than the reality of the tragic death of a young man through violent crime, especially one who was so well-liked and much loved."
