Ashley Blake quits New Oscott restaurant
Blake started trading as the The Place 2 B Thai Restaurant Ltd in 2007 after the previous business at the same address, The Place 2 B (UK) Ltd, went into liquidation with debts totalling £89,205.
Blake and his partner Jessica Hayes first took on The Place 2 B in 2003 after taking on a 22-year lease at the Chester Road-based pub.
He appeared at Sutton Coldfield Magistrates Court on February 2 with a second man, Steven Sproule, aged 38, of Booths Farm Road, Great Barr. Sproule is charged with causing actual bodily harm and affray. The charges relate to an incident which left a youth of 17 with facial injuries. Magistrates bailed Blake and Sproule and told them to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on April 27.
