Tamworth stab attack: Police hunt two men

DETECTIVES investigating the stabbing of a 27-year-old woman in Tamworth today appealed for two men to come forward.

The men were seen in the area of Kettlebrook Park at the time of the attack, at about 4am on Saturday.

The woman was left with a punctured lung after she was set upon by three men as she was walking through the park on her way to her home in the Belgrave area of the town.

She remains in Good Hope Hospital where her condition is described as stable.

A Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said: “Detectives would like to speak to them so they can be eliminated from their inquiries.”

The men are believed to be aged in their 20s, with dark hair.
