US millionaire quizzed over death of two Brits in Florida

A US millionaire is to be questioned about the hit-and-run deaths of two Midland businessmen in Florida after police discovered he owned the Porsche involved.

Ryan LeVin denies being behind the wheel of the £110,000 sports car, which had not been reported stolen.

The Porsche GT that was found dumped after the hit-and-run of Kenneth Watkinson and Craig Elford.

Family men Kenneth Watkinson and Craig Elford, both from Warwickshire, were killed when the Porsche careered out of control at 100mph, mounting a pavement and hitting them from behind. The badly-damaged vehicle was later found dumped.

LeVin, a jewellery firm heir, was placed on probation for 30 months in 2007 after sparking a police car chase that left three people injured.

Friends and business partners Kenneth Watkinson and Craig Elford were strolling back to the Courtyard Marriott hotel on a Florida beach front, but seconds later they were lying dead in the hotel gardens. Thirty four-year-old LeVin denies being behind the wheel.

Father-of-three Mr Watkinson, aged 48, and dad-of-two Mr Elford, aged 39, were in America on a six-day trip to recruit for their Stratford-upon-Avon pharmaceutical business, Ingala Healthcare Ltd.

Mr Watkinson, from Harbury, near Leamington, and new dad Mr Elford, from Ratley, Warwickshire, are believed to have died instantly in the crash.
