MP backs Birmingham language teaching

FURTHER Education Minister and Erdington MP, Sion Simon, praised the provision of English for speakers of other languages during a trip to South Birmingham College.

The Minister took a look around the college’s ESOL department and listened to the views and experiences of students and tutors during his visit to the Digbeth campus.

He said: “Good ESOL provision is vital for promoting active citizenship and I have been very impressed by what I have seen at South Birmingham College.”
