Gardeners’ World to move to Birmingham

THE popular flagship BBC programme Gardeners’ World is to put down new roots in the heart of Birmingham.

The show is leaving its generous two-acre Berryfields site in Stratford-upon-Avon and is moving to a new home in the city ahead of a new series, which starts on April 3.

Presenter Toby Buckland and his team will transform a muddy grassy playing field into the nation’s new back garden, and viewers will be able to follow its progress over the coming year.

Toby Buckland said: “After six wonderful years at Berryfields, it’s really exciting to be moving to a new location.”

The new garden will feature small urban spaces that many viewers garden in.

Gardeners’ World will return with one-off specials starting on March 13.
