Trust set up to save St Margaret's Church

A COMMUNITY trust has been set up to try and save an 1830s Grade II listed Birmingham church.

The church, St Margaret’s, in Church Walk, Ward End, houses two stained glass windows designed by renowned Victorian artist Edward Burne-Jones, who was born on Bennetts Hill in the city centre.

Sadly the church has fallen into disrepair and is a target for graffiti.

The Rev Peter Smith, vicar of Christ Church, Ward End, and the chair of St Margaret’s Community Trust, is pictured in front of the Burne-Jones windows.
