THE family of a man stabbed to death in Birmingham told of their enduring heartache on what would have been his 34th birthday.
Patrick Mellard was repeatedly stabbed with a 6in kitchen knife in a seemingly unprovoked attack as he walked home in Balsall Heath, last May.
As Mr Mellard’s family, including his twin sister, gathered to remember him yesterday, murder squad detectives urged the public to come forward and help catch his killer.
And they released CCTV footage of two men they believe could be key witnesses to the attack in the hope they come forward.
In a statement, Mr Mellard’s family said: “Patrick is deeply and truly missed by each one of the family every single day.
