Head teacher suspended at The Streetly School in Sutton Coldfield

The school has been earmarked for millions of pounds of funding for a major rebuild under the Government’s Building Schools for the Future scheme.

Last year Mrs Hunton admitted drink-driving following a staff leaving party and she was banned from the roads for a year and ordered to pay £350 plus legal costs.

But governors decided not to fire her and praised her for the job she had done at the school.

Mrs Julia Hill has been made acting headteacher.
