Shooting death: Nehemiah's Bryce's mum hits out at 'friends'

Nehemiah Bryce

Mrs Johnson said: “Our lives were completely shattered that day. To me it’s like a dream. I just hope I will wake up one day.

“He was a brilliant son. He was very loving and he always had a smile. When I think of Nehemiah, I always see his smile.”

His other sister, Naheelah, aged 29, added: “We were a happy family before this happened. People should come forward and show what true friends they were. No matter how small the information, it could be the vital evidence police need.”

Two people were arrested in connection with the incident and remain on police bail.

Det Chief Insp Steve Bimson, who is leading the case, said: “We still don’t have a clear idea of what the motivation was.

“The information for that is in the community – within his friends and associates. For Nehemiah and his family, these people should come forward. We can treat what they say sensitively and put in protection for them.”
