Ultimate pet show coming to Birmingham

The souful bird liked nothing more than belting out Tom Jones’s hit song Sex Bomb for doting owners Liz and Jim Armour, from Moseley.
Although the couple, who own two other African Greys and two poodles, have never entered their 16 year old family pet into competitions, they are proud of his entertaining capability.
Jim said: “We’ve never thought about entering Charlie into a competition as he rarely performs on cue. He does enjoy a sing-song and has a few favourites in his repertoire.”
Since the couple took Charlie in less than a year ago, they have discovered some of his other skills which include counting to ten, singing Humpty Dumpty and ordering the dogs to behave.
Not to be outdone, the Armours’ two older parrots have developed unusual habits of their own – one says hi and bye in a Birmingham accent very similar to Carl Chinn’s, while the other barks like a dog and enjoys a game of peek-a-boo.
