Ceri’s locks loss shock is a Relief for others

IT WAS a case of hair today, gone tomorrow for one Midland charity fundraiser.
The flowing locks of Oldbury mum-of-two Ceri Britton, 22, had been her crowning glory for years.
But the plucky mum decided she wanted more than just a trim this year and was sponsored to have her head completely shaved in aid of Comic Relief.
She said: “I’d been wanting to do something special for Comic Relief, something that would really make a statement, while helping to make a difference.
“I’ve had so much support from family and friends and well-wishers. Before a hair was even cut, I’d raised around £400, so I’m glad to see what the final figure is.”
Staff at Levi Hair Co in Bearwood Road, Smethwick, gave up an hour of their time to lend a hand in the hair-raising task.
Also there was June Firkin, of Sainsbury’s, who helped raise funds for Ceri’s cut.
