Sword-wielding robbers target Smethwick shop
Two men armed with a sword have threatened a shopkeeper in Smethwick during an attempted robbery.
The men, in their 20s, demanded cash from the till of Saree Ghar Bangla Bazar in Lewisham Road before escaping empty handed.
The shopkeeper was uninjured but shaken by the incident, said a spokesman for West Midlands Police.
