Smethwick man bailed over robbery claim

A MAN who claimed he had been robbed of £120 at knife-point appeared in court accused of making up the story.
Keith Harborne appeared before city magistrates yesterday charged with perverting the course of justice.
The 23-year-old from Kingstanding, who is living in South Road, Smethwick, was bailed in the sum of £500 and subject to reporting conditions.
He will enter a plea when he appears at Birmingham Crown Court on June 26.
