Top author at book festival

A BEST-selling Birmingham writer will be taking pride of place at a one-off book festival.

Catherine O’Flynn, author of What Was Lost will be appearing at the 2009 Orange Readers’ Day on May 9.

The Hall Green author will be joined by a host of big names including Joanne Harris who wrote Chocolat, Sadie Jones author of The Outcast, Charlotte Mendelson who penned Daughters of Jerusalem.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear authors shortlisted for the 2009 Orange Award for New Writers discuss their work.

Tickets for the book festival are from £4.
