Aerosol artist Temper to produce album cover for The Twang

THE new album from Birmingham band The Twang is in the can... and the cover sleeve artwork will soon be too.
That’s because the five-piece from Quinton have asked acclaimed aerosol artist Temper (real name Arron Bird) to produce an image for the keenly-anticipated follow-up to their top three debut album Love It When I Feel Like This.
The spray-can king, who is based in the Jewellery Quarter, has transformed the image of graffiti art with his highly collectible work, all created using only aerosol paint.
Now The Twang have joined his long line of celebrity followers which includes footballer Ian Wright, rugby star Danny Cipriani and Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
While the new album, set for release this summer, has yet to be given a name, Temper has already been listening to a preview copy of the music for inspiration:
“I’m a great fan,” he said. “(Lead singer) Phil (Etheridge) just phoned me up and they asked me if I’d be interested – there was no question; if it was anybody else I’d say no because my time’s limited, but I do believe they’re one of the great local bands who have enough longevity to go a long way.
