Sheldon kids get boost from police

POLICE stepped to help a group of school children compete in a national dance and drama competition.

Nearly 100 pupils from Sheldon Heath School, Sheldon, travelled to Derby for the Rock Challenge, run by the Be Your Best Foundation. Police in Stechford stumped up £300 and another £650 was donated from the sale of lost and found property, which was auctioned off by police.

The pupils, aged 13 to 18, performed an eight-minute drama and dance routine.
