Boyband Blue to stage a comeback

LOOK out girls – Birmingham heart-throb Simon Webbe is back with his Blue bandmates.

Webbe, who grew up in Bordesley Green, was a member of the boyband, who had hits including All Rise, One Love and Fly By.

But the group split in 2005 and Webbe, now aged 30, embarked on a solo career and appeared on ITV’s I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! last year.

He is dating Henley-in-Arden songstress Layla Manoochehri who appeared on X-Factor with girl group Girlband.

Now Webbe and his bandmates Lee Ryan, Duncan James and Antony Costa are to perform at a ball for London radio station Capital FM on June 7.

James, aged 31, said the boys were “ecstatic” to be back together.

He said: “We met up a couple of weeks ago to talk about it and we are so excited. I think we’re going to enjoy it even more the second time round.”

Ryan, 25, added: “We never actually broke up, officially.”
