The details of how Josh died were not yet clear. Students were wearing black ties today as a mark of respect and classmates are putting together a collection in his memory.
A staff member at the school said pupils were informed of Josh’s death when they arrived yesterday morning. Police officers and physiologists spent the day talking to pupils about the death and offered support.
A spokesman from West Mercia Police said: “Police can confirm they are investigating the unexplained death of a teenage male in Alvechurch.
“He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Police are treating the death as unexplained and liaising with other agencies.”
