Woman hurt in Tamworth car collision

A PEDESTRIAN was seriously ill in Selly Oak Hospital today after being in collision with a car.

It happened in River Drive, Tamworth, at 2.15pm on Tuesday.

A woman in her 30s, suffered a severe head injury and a fractured leg and was airlifted to hospital. The car driver, a man in his 20s, was uninjured but needed treatment for shock at the scene.
