Man crushed at timber yard accident in Kidderminster

A MAN has suffered serious injuries after being crushed at a timber yard in Worcestershire.

The man, said to be in his 30s, was airlifted to hospital following the incident on the Hoobrook Industrial Estate in Kidderminster yesterday afternoon.

Emergency crews arrived on scene at Harlows Timber to find the man trapped between a forklift truck and a pallet of wood.

Paramedic, Clive Shearman, said: “It was a difficult situation to deal with due to the injuries.

“However, there was excellent co-operation between the fire and ambulance services.”

The man was treated at the scene for injuries to his chest and neck and a head injury before being airlifted to Selly Oak Hospital for further treatment.
