Use it or lose it warning on bus for Harborne, Edgbaston and Quinton

AN MP has urged passengers to get on board and use a bus service which she helped save from the axe.

Gisela Stuart (Lab, Edgbaston) said to ensure the No 10 was not under threat again, local people should make the best use of it.

Central Connect stepped in to take over the route, which links Quinton, Harborne and Edgbaston with the city centre, when National Express said it was unprofitable.

The service was due to finish on May 31 but now it will continue, being operated by Central Connect from June 1.

Local Tory councillors, residents and Ms Stuart all took part in the campaign to save it.

She said: “The whole community is delighted the campaign was such a success and that Central Connect has taken over this service.  

“Now it’s down to us all to make use of the service so it doesn’t come under threat again.”
