“The complaint involved the teacher’s involvement with teenage girls who attended the school,” he said.
Mr Bartlett is believed to have been at the school for at least three years.
He could not be contacted for comment, but on social network site Friends Reunited, the former Birmingham law student said he now runs a youth club for disabled children, manages a local football team and sings and play piano at various venues throughout England.
He added that he was promoted in 2007 and said: “I’m now a pastoral leader for Key Stage 4, difficult to believe I’m responsible for nearly 400 kids.”
A Warwickshire County Council spokesman said: “An allegation has been made against a member of staff.
“We have to take any allegations seriously and, in line with procedures, the member of staff has been suspended so that this can be investigated.
“We cannot comment further because it is now a criminal investigation.”
A Warwickshire Police spokesman said: “A man was arrested on suspicion of breaching his position of trust at a school in North Warwickshire.
“The 31-year-old man was arrested in February and is currently on police bail pending further inquiries.”
* The Coleshill School is currently in special measures having failed its recent Ofsted inspection. It is being run by an acting head and an executive head teacher on secondment from a school in Coventry.
