Disabled athletes line up at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham

AROUND 250 athletes from 24 clubs and schools took part in a regional athletics competition for disabled athletes at Alexander Stadium.

Organised by the English Federation of Disability Sport, in conjunction with Birmingham City Council, it was supported by npower.

Dennis Hodgkins, regional development manager of the EFDS, said: “This is the largest participation event for disabled athletes in the West Midlands.”
