Man charged over Birmingham bus robberies

POLICE hunting a gun-toting robber preying on bus routes in north Birmingham have charged a man with a string of offences.

The 26-year-old appeared before Sutton Coldfield magistrates yesterday charged with three counts of robbery and three counts of possessing an imitation firearm. He was remanded in custody until August 20.

The man was arrested after appeals by police investigating incidents on buses in Erdington and Sutton Coldfield.
