Police appeal for help after man assaulted in Redditch

POLICE are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Redditch.

The man, who is in his 20s, was walking along the footpath between Station Way and Oakly Road just before 4pm on Wednesday, 20 May, when three males approached him.

One of the males then punched him in the face before heading off in the direction of the underpass leading to the rear entrance of Primark.

The offender is described as a clean shaven white man in his early 20s, 6ft 4inches tall with an athletic build. He was said to be wearing a black summer jacket, dark blue jeans and black trainers, and was holding a can of beer.

PC Phillip Jinks from Redditch police says, “At this stage of our enquiries, we have not been able to establish a motive for this attack and while the victim’s injuries are not serious, it’s important that we identify the man responsible. ”
