Man stabbed in city street row

A MAN was repeatedly knifed during a street row in Birmingham city centre today.
Police said the victim suffered “serious injuries” in the incident which began in Inge Street behind the city’s Hippodrome Theatre at 1.50am. It is believed a group of people were involved in a row when the man was stabbed.
He was found slumped on the floor. Parts of Inge Street and Essex Street remained cordoned off today for forensic experts to examine the scene.
A police spokesman said: “There was a some disorder in Inge Street in the early hours of this morning. A man sustained serious injuries and is currently being treated in hospital.
“The scene has been cordoned for forensic examination.”
